Brazilian consultancy Numen and French company Esker, a developer of business process automation software, announced this week a partnership to sell solutions in Brazil and Latin America. Until now, Esker’s presence in the region was sporadic and reactive, without a continuous strategy—something that is expected to change going forward.
Founded in 1985 in Lyon, Esker started by creating software for electronic document transmission and, over the years, shifted its focus to digital workflows. It uses technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning to automate processes like accounts payable, sales orders, invoicing, contract management, and customer service.
The portfolios of both companies have “strong synergy,” especially considering that Numen is a Gold Partner of German ERP specialist SAP. “Numen’s experience in the SAP ecosystem is a major advantage, allowing us to get closer to customers and explore AI-based automations while understanding their technical landscape,” said Ari Widlansky, Managing Director and COO of Esker USA, in a statement, also highlighting the Brazilian company’s presence in North America.
For Eduardo Nagata, CEO of Numen North America, the partnership brings the opportunity to offer more services to clients, particularly those with high transaction volumes who need to reduce manual entries and gain greater visibility into financial processes.
“The expectation is that by the end of 2026, at least 20 clients will be operating multiple Esker processes through Numen—a number that should exceed 50 by the end of 2027,” Widlansky said.
