Numen restructures its Data Design & Intelligence division

Among Numen’s main objectives as a leading technology solutions company is transforming data into value. With this focus, the consultancy is enhancing its Data Design & Intelligence (DD&I) division. With the new structure, the company aims to surpass 100 projects by the end of the year.

The division offers solutions that help companies transform data into faster and more effective business decisions by combining information organization, decision-oriented visualization, and advanced analytics.

The area’s operations are anchored in Lean Information Flow, an approach developed by Numen to support data-driven decision-making. The model organizes the decision-making process continuously, connecting information preparation and organization, decision-oriented visualization, and the use of analytical models—always with a focus on generating business value.

Based on this approach, Numen structured a set of offerings that support different stages of this process. One of them is Data Engineering, which comprises services covering storage, integration, processing, and information management, including the creation of data warehouses and data lakes, the development of ETL processes and data pipelines, as well as initiatives focused on quality, governance, and security.

The division also offers the Data Lake Assessment, a structured evaluation based on six value perspectives—architecture, performance, governance, security, quality, and optimization—that helps companies evolve their analytical environments. Complementing the portfolio are BI & Data Design solutions, aimed at developing clear, intuitive, decision-oriented dashboards, and Advanced Analytics & AI projects, which apply advanced analysis, artificial intelligence, and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, forecast trends, and generate actionable insights.

It is important to highlight that all offerings are integrated yet independent, ensuring flexibility for clients to contract services according to their specific needs. In addition, the approach enables work across different technology environments, supporting organizations with either consolidated or developing data structures. The unit has a team of more than 50 people and has completed 53 projects, serving clients in Brazil, Europe, and the United States.

According to Carlos Aravechia, Head of Data Design & Intelligence at Numen, one of the division’s main differentiators is that the primary stakeholders in the projects are not IT teams but rather business areas.

“Companies across all sectors make decisions constantly, and they need to make them quickly and securely. That is why the DD&I division was redesigned with the goal of uniting the best of both worlds, ensuring a personalized approach aligned with each organization’s level of data management maturity,” he explains.

The results are already visible. The unit has accumulated relevant case studies in sectors such as consumer goods, cosmetics, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and others. Solutions range from addressing the lack of visibility and control over spreadsheet-managed data to creating advanced models. One highlight is the implementation of a fraud identification system that generated approximately R$ 50 million in savings by reducing costs associated with anomaly detection processes.

With the consolidation of the division, Numen aims to expand its presence across different sectors, growing its operations in Brazil and abroad.

“We are increasingly immersed in the data era. However, more than just generating information, it is essential to transform it into concrete business results. Strengthening this division is another step that reinforces our commitment to helping clients establish an efficient governance model with real impact on decisions and organizational performance,” concludes the Head.
